In a week when Dr Rahmeh Aladwan explained her suspension (apparently, you can’t be anti-Zionist and practice medicine at the same time), and the Super Bowl ended with a whimper (apparently, the Patriots are bad), Musletter is taking a moment to wish our readers Ramadan Kareem.

THE RUNDOWN
Here’s the scoop on everything you need to know

🇹🇷 Talking Türkiye: It’s been around since 2016, but Türkiye’s Citizenship by Investment program is gaining steam. So just pony up $400k and boom – you’re Turkish! That means you have a powerful passport, plus visa-free travel to 125 other countries. The ‘qualifying investment’ is usually through real estate (not bad, since you can live in it if you want), and citizenship is usually in the bag within three to six months of application. Also, there are no minimum residency or language requirements, and you can include your spouse and dependent children. Türkiye has become something of a go-to option for Western Muslims looking to move to a Muslim-majority country. Plus, good global location, universal healthcare, and good food. What’s not to like?
🇧🇩 Bangladesh brilliance: In the AD Scientific Index 2026, Bangladeshi scientist Professor Dr. Saidur Rahman has once again been ranked among the world’s leading researchers. He placed first in Malaysia, second in Asia, and seventh worldwide in mechanical engineering – that’s out of over 33,000 scientists. As if that’s not enough to make you feel like an underachiever, he topped global rankings in sustainable and renewable energy research. Wait, there’s more. He was also listed in the world’s top 2% of scientists by Stanford/Elsevier. The prof-doc is currently based at Sunway University in Malaysia.
🇪🇬 Egypt accelerates: Egypt is giving regional – and global – startups a boost. Bosta, an e-commerce logistics platform, announced its partnership with RiseUp to assist startups by providing logistics solutions to help them grow. It’s all about equipping small businesses with what they need to expand across the world. The announcement follows Bosta’s recent collaboration with Mastercard, which will also empower SMEs and accelerate e-commerce growth in Egypt. Bosta currently operates in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
🧑🧑🧒🧒 ☪️ Islamic animation: Children’s animation that is inspired by Islamic values is taking to the world stage, according to Salaam Gateway. Investment from Saudi Arabia and the UAE has helped get things moving by funding studios and co-productions. We are already seeing the fruits of this project – with the rebooted Emirati series The Adventures of Mansour and Saudi game Azooma Escape, both of which integrate Islamic values into their narratives. Meanwhile, Canadian production Time Hoppers will be released across 200 theaters in the MENA region and will be the first Muslim animated film to get released across the U.S.
🇸🇦 AI in KSA: Red Sea Global has announced a partnership with Bunat Ventures to create a fund for AI-driven startups in Saudi Arabia. The AI Venture Fund will invest in 25 companies (both early and growth stage) over the next three years, supporting both AI-native startups and businesses that rely on AI as a key part of how they function. Selected applicants will also get access to Red Sea Global’s infrastructure to pilot and validate technologies under real world conditions. The goal here? To speed up digital transformation in the Kingdom and support Saudi entrepreneurs.
